Global Learning has given me the opportunity to attend numerous events during my time at FIU. The Tuesday Times Round Tables were always exciting to attend since they covered different topics every time and the speakers were always very informative. The TTR about the Millennium Fellowship was very exciting to attend since it was very informative and it was exciting to see how many people wanted to become a part of this amazing program and experience. Furthermore, I was also able to attend different meetings and events organized by honor societies and the FIU in DC team. All of these events were always very informative and they provided a space for us to cover very important topics that have been affecting the world with faculty and scholars. I remember attending a coffee chat that was organized by the Sigma Iota Rho Beta Rho chapter which was hosted by Dr. Anjana Mishra, and it allowed us to discuss US gun laws and the possibility of gun reform. The FIU in DC team also organized numerous events in partnership with Global Learning and they were always very informative of the different opportunities that FIU students have in DC.
